Industrial area
Shaping an high technological content building is perhaps more of a design matter then an architectural one.
This stands for both the needed process of designing a complex technological system organism, and also in this case for some pure “industrial design” details like the rounded edges of the metal covers of the plant volumes which recall the “family feeling”, the style features of the products stocked here.
The work space is totally clean and available. People and technical flows are developed along the two kilometres of an underground tunnels network which reaches every part of the building.
The unavoidable territorial effect of this size has been managed interpreting the metallic technical volumes on the roof as a kind of tower which confers to the building a vague castle shaped character.
