The contemporary city is no longer able to generate real places and real city streets because the modern architecture has given up the idea of the facade, it no longer looks toward the city space, but it is designed to be viewed as a sculpture or an object". Diagnosis and treatment of diseases of identity in contemporary urban contexts" held by the architect Joseph Pasquale at the conference "La città si-cura" (The city takes care about itself) organized by the city of Treviglio.
